Chronology
1985
Stiefnu De Battista is born on September 17, 1985, in Lija, Malta. At a young age Stiefnu used to accompany his father on different boats, where he used to observe fishermen leaving and re-entering the port, carrying boxes brimming with fish.

1992
Stiefnu attended Palazzo De La Salle, School of Art in Valletta, under the tuition of Artist Michael Mifsud.
1999
In this year Stiefnu continued his studies at the Salvatore Dimech, School for Art and Crafts (Targa Gap) Mosta, Malta. He subsequently attended lessons under the tuition of renowned artist, Twanny Darmanin.
1995
Stiefnu attends his first art course at Palazzo De La Salle in Valletta, Malta. He was guided by Artist Michael Mifsud where he was introduced to a basic art course in watercolour and basic techniques.
1985
Viola Frey is born on August 15, 1933, in Lodi, California. She is raised on her family’s vineyard and attends Lodi High School, graduating in 1951.
1998 - 2000
Stiefnu was accepted to a two year course in Malta’s first Art & Crafts college at Salvatore Dimech, Targa Gap, Mosta. Malta. During these two years Stiefnu experimented with different techniques from paper, ceramics, wood and fine-art.

2000 - 2002
Stiefnu attended lessons under the tuition of renowned artist, Twanny Darmanin at Art Club 2000 in Mellieha. There he was introduced to oil painting and abstract art.
2001 - 2008
Was accepted to study art and design at the new Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology under the direction of the late, Donald Friggieri.
2001
Successfully obtained the first National Diploma in Art & Crafts with a distinction Merit.
2002 - 2004
Subsequently passed the National Diploma in Design Crafts with a Distinction, under the guidance of Maltese ceramist George Muscat.
2001 - 2008
He successfully obtained the BTEC Higher National Diploma in 3D Design / Ceramics at the MCAST Institute of Art and Design, Malta.
2006
In 2006, he completed a one-year course in Fine Arts at the Malta School of Art under the tuition of Mr Alfred Caruana Ruggier.
2007
In 2007, Stefan was declared winner of a ceramics competition launched as part of the Medpot Project promoted by the Comune Di Sciacca in Sicily, and received a one-month scholarship in Sciacca.
2007
Exhibited for the first time Internationally during the TOUREG Comenius exhibition in Rockenhausen, Germany.
2014
Stiefnu was invited to participate in one of the biggest art shows in Malta, The Biegansky art Festival held at the Mediterranean Conference centre in Valletta.
2018 - 2019
Stiefnu was selected to participate amongst Maltese and Italian artists in an exhibition toured around Sicily. The exhibition entitled Vasi Comunicanti was a tribute to the late artist Cosimo Barna. One of Stiefnu’s mentors in Sciacca.
2019
Stiefnu’s first solo exhibition called Scialta held at the National labour Centre, Hamrun, Malta.

Stiefnu moves to a new art studio in Gharghur, Malta where he expanded his space.
